The project adopts a modular grid-tied energy storage solution, which can provide voltage and frequency support for the grid. After the project is connected to the grid, the SCR of the regional grid has been raised from 1.3% to 1.5% and the total distortion rate has been reduced from 12.55% to 1.31%, effectively improving the grid strength and power quality. Compared with centralized systems, the cluster-level management mode of the modular system can increase the total charging and discharging capacity by 8%, making it more economical.

The project enhances the grid's ability to adjust peak power usage in Shandong, promotes the utilization of renewable energy, alleviates the impact of coal-fired power plant peak power adjustment on the province, and is expected to generate annual revenue of 300 million yuan and tax revenue of 20 million yuan, while creating more than 100 jobs. The project won the Best Energy Storage Demonstration Project Award in 2023.
